Local 3307 will hold a regularly scheduled membership meeting at 7:00 pm on November 7, 2019, at The Salazar Building in Kingsville, Texas (200 Richard Avenue – Kingsville, TX). During this meeting, members will be asked to determine the number of additional delegates, if any, it wants to represent Local 3307 at the 2020 NBPC Convention & AFGE District 10 Caucus. Local 3307’s seven (7) elected Executive Board Officers have already been designated as Delegates by virtue of office. If members authorize additional Delegates, then nominations for the additional Delegates will be accepted and, at a future date to be determined, an election will be held for a secret vote to elect the additional Delegates.
Members will also be asked to determine if the selected delegates will carry all of Local 3307’s votes, which if approved would preclude the need for alternate Delegates. If members do not approve the proposal, then nominations for alternate Delegates will be accepted and, at a future date to be determined, an election will be held for a secret vote to elect additional delegates.
The designated Delegates will represent Local 3307 at the NBPC National Convention to be held in February 2020 and at the AFGE District 10 Caucus to be held in May 2020.
NOTE: The NBPC Convention and the AFGE District 10 Caucus are considered internal union business and official time to travel to and from these events, or to attend the events is not authorized. As a result, Delegates attend and travel to/from these events on days off duty or annual leave. Attendees to the 2020 NBPC Convention and Training Conference will be selected at a later date by the Union’s Executive Board. The number of Delegates does not determine the number of attendees; they are two separate issues.
